The 1972 annual for Golden Valley was published with a surprise for the Ecology Club - a full three-page spread with pictures of the many activities the club had participated during its second year of existance. Click the pictures to see the pages closer.
"The Ecology Club is sponsored by Mrs. Sztaray and Miss Wallace and has been one of the most popular groups on campus this year. The first project they planned was a trash pick-up in our city. Next they started to support bike ways by circulating petitions. Tree-planting in the Lytle Creek area was their next project. They have also had a bike ride which raised about $700.00 dollars for Doc's Livery and Drayage Co. For the rest of the year they planned a recycling project, anti-letter [sic] campaign, an exhibit at the Inland Center, another bike ride, and shirt sale."
